We are now open!

Our location located in Southwest Seattle softly opened on February 28, 2025.

Hagosa’s House is your neighborhood coffee shop—nothing fancy, just great coffee and a warm, welcoming space. We’re a family-owned, Black- and woman-owned cafe, rooted in the community and inspired by Eritrean heritage. Named after my grandmother, Hagosa, our shop is a place to slow down, connect, and feel at home. Whether you’re grabbing a quick cup or staying a while, we’re here for you.

About Us

Hagosa’s House started as an opportunity—one that my dad gave me, not just as my father but as my landlord. With his support, I was able to take on this space and spend nearly nine months renovating it to bring my vision to life. This is my first venture, and more than just a coffee shop, it’s a story of family, community, and building generational wealth.

As a Black woman who grew up in West Seattle, I wanted to create a space where my friends and neighbors feel at home—a place that’s welcoming, warm, and truly part of the neighborhood. Named after my grandmother, Hagosa, whose name means "joy," this cafe is rooted in heritage and connection.

At the end of the day, it’s simple—we’re here to serve good coffee, create a gathering space, and grow something meaningful for the community. We’re just getting started, and I’m excited to share this journey with you.
