About Us
Hagosa’s House started as an opportunity—one that my parents gave me. With their support, I was able to take on this space and spend nearly nine months renovating it to bring my vision to life. This is my first venture, and more than just a coffee shop, it’s a story of family, community, and building generational wealth.
As a Black woman who grew up in West Seattle, I wanted to create a space where my friends and neighbors feel at home—a place that’s welcoming, warm, and truly part of the neighborhood. Named after my grandmother, Hagosa, whose name means "joy," this cafe is rooted in heritage and connection.
At the end of the day, it’s simple—we’re here to serve good coffee, create a gathering space, and grow something meaningful for the community. We’re just getting started, and I’m excited to share this journey with you.
